Anger Academy Intro

If you’re interested in becoming an anger management coach, the Anger Academy programme offered by The British Association of Anger Management may be the perfect place to start. In a brief introductory video, The British Association of Anger Management provides an overview of the programme and what students can expect.

The Anger Academy is designed for individuals who want to become qualified anger management coaches. The training is split into two parts; LIVE online sessions and an e-learning component – each covering a different aspect of anger management and coaching.

The training is based on the APT model – Aggression Prevention Training whereby individuals are encouraged to identify one’s own traumatic experiences shaping unconscious behaviours, rigid defence mechanisms, limiting self-beliefs and destructive thought patterns, that go on to hinder our purpose and growth potential.

They will also learn how to change destructive patterns of behaviour, through the recognition and understanding of our psychological imperatives, cognitive dissonances, private logic and the healing of historic, traumatic occurrences.

The video emphasizes that the Anger Academy is not a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all solution for anger. It is a comprehensive programme that requires commitment, investment, research and dedication. Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a qualification as an anger management coach.

One of the benefits of the Anger Academy is that it is entirely online, making it accessible to individuals regardless of location or schedule. Whilst the online sessions are LIVE, the e-learning modules can be done at their own pace, and the programme is available on desktop and mobile devices.

In addition to the Anger Academy, you will be asked to participate in one of BAAM’s generic programmes designed to help individuals manage their anger effectively i.e. our 10-week online course or the weekend intensive. Dates can be seen here.

If you want to become an anger management coach, the Anger Academy is an excellent place to start. The introductory video provides an informative overview of the programme and what participants can expect. With the proper training and support, you can make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with anger management – one feeling at a time.
