Alan
Palamountain BSc(Hons) MA UKCP Reg
- Course Faciltator
I was born in 1960, and my life-long study of personal and spiritual development
began by me asking the question: "What does it mean to be human?"
In an attempt to find an answer, I embarked on an exploration of philosophical
and spiritual traditions throughout the world. As part of this process
I encountered Existentialism and its application to psychotherapy. Therefore,
I believe that who I am, and how authentic I can be, in the room with
my clients, is of vital importance to the outcome of the therapy. It is
through creating a safe and accepting environment that it becomes possible
for the client to begin to examine the meaning possibilities of their
individual lived experience. I work with both individuals and groups supporting
their search for a meaningful existence. My role is as a catalyst for
the realisation of our potential as a celebration, in all its rich diversity,
of what it means to be human.
